Movement Therapy utilizes intuitive movement and yoga postures as a jumping-off place to explore deeper holding on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Using the physical body as a portal through which we access inner wisdom and personal guidance, Movement Therapy helps us to identify a “road map” of personal patterning that creates and stores tension, karma and “misinterpretations” of the self. As we identify this road map we can navigate more easily toward source issues, inducing release of held emotion, negative belief systems and stored impact of trauma from this lifetime and previous lifetimes.
Movement Therapy dives well beyond general yoga practice and permits us to address specific physical and/or emotional issues stored in the body to accelerate healing. Sometimes auric clearing work and energy healing is required to help facilitate movement of a particular held energy.

Please note that after any form of energy and healing work the participant (you) will feel “wide open”, therefore more sensitized to the world around you. It is important to become grounded after a private session, to feel your feet on the earth, the temperature of the air on your skin, etc. At The Practice Room you are invited to enjoy a cup of tea, sit, meditate, read or journal before heading out to greet the rest of your day. If possible leave time for soft re-integration after this form of healing work, so that you can have some breathing room to gently shift back to ordinary awareness and functioning. It is best to avoid conflict and stressful situations and to embrace self-care and nurturing. Drink plenty of water for 3 days after a session to help facilitate the process of purification with ease.
